One Game Studio reveals The Bone

The Bone: the experience of having superpowers in real life.

One Game Studio reveals its first videogame.

February 8th, 2021. After investing more than three years of work into developing the technology, the company One Game Studio presents the first official trailer of their real-life videogame known as The Bone.

The Bone is a free app -built for Android and IOS- that combines the power of mobile gaming with Augmented Reality and Hardware to create an RPG in real life and the first technology-based sport.

The Bone is the experience of having superpowers in real life.

With a global community that surpasses 100,000 users, everyone is anxiously waiting for the official launch on Kickstarter to finally reveal all the details that to this day are still a mystery. The Kickstarter campaign is scheduled for Tuesday, March 16th, 2021, with a minimum goal of $250,000.

—We have been working on The Bone over the past three years without making noise about it. First, we needed to make sure that the technology worked —. said Marc Oyamburu, One Game Studio’s Founder and Creative Director. He is well known for his previous role as CEO of Play Business. —Not only does the technology work perfectly today, but we have tested it with a pre-alpha group made up of 1,000 carefully chosen recruits. All results indicate that the time has come to release the technology via a Kickstarter campaign so that anyone can get early access and show their support—.

The ultimate goal of The Bone is to revolutionize the world of Esports and entertainment. For the first time, we will be able to broadcast epic real-life battles, in iconic worldwide locations, and watch the players cast superpowers through two perspectives: first-person (from the player's point of view like most video games) and third-person (just like any other sport).

—Think of it as a fantasy film but in real-time and with no script—. Oyamburu adds—In The Bone, you are the main character, the world is your stage, and your cell phone is the tool that allows you to access this reality we have created for you—.

The experience begins when the user uses a smartphone to explore the real world through augmented reality and obtain all kinds of resources. Mainly superpowers known as “Power Archives.”

The Bone game experience is not a GPS-based one, but rather a technology that interprets colors and planes in the real world. This way, it offers the user a new way to explore its surrounding space each time: from the bedroom or local park to a trail in the forest or a beach.

Furthermore, the player will train in real life or through an online combat simulator to level up their Power Archives. Lastly, the player will go outside to compete in real life against other people in official tournaments or training events.

—We don’t want nor do we expect people running around throwing superpowers everywhere —. Oyamburu explains. —Real-life combat must be seen as a sport, having been previously organized and with a specific location. The cool thing is that you don’t need a playing field because the real world is your stage — Marc concludes.
